About The Dog House

The Dog House was established seven years ago by Bethanny Crouse and her husband Chris.  It was developed with the purpose of providing a high-quality facility where locals as well as visitors from out of town can bring their dogs to receive quality care in which they would want to come back to year after year.  The Dog House is known to be “Not your typical kennel” because it creates an environment that is not only stimulating and fun for the dogs, but also gives the dogs’ owners piece of mind when they drop them off, knowing they will be well cared for in their absence.

What sets The Dog House apart from other kennels is the personalized service included with every dog’s stay with us, tailored to fit the needs of the customer and their dog, as well as the amount of time that the dogs spend playing with other dogs in “play groups”, instead of just sitting in a crate or cage watching the day go by.

Don’t be surprised if your dog comes home tired and craving extra water from all the play they took part in at The Dog House.

There is a large indoor play area with a garage door that is opened to a beautiful view and fresh air, while also keeping the dogs protected when the weather is not so cooperative.  There are also a couple of outdoor play areas where the dogs can play together outside as well.  The staff is very good at recognizing dogs who may need a little extra care or attention, and allow them special privileges such as spending some time in the office with them, or just sitting with them for a while.

Unlike most kennels, The Dog House will also accommodate dogs who have not been spayed/neutered, or who may not get along so well with other dogs, instead of turning them away.
